 OP SAFE CONDUCT PHASE 2: COAS CHARGES TROOPS TO SUSTAIN  APOLITICAL POSTURE. The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya has directed formation and unit commanders of the Nigerian Army to ensure that troops remain professional and apolitical during the forthcoming Gubernatorial and House of Assembly Elections across the nation.   The Army Chief handed down the charge while addressing formation and unit commanders across the country, prelude to the rescheduled 18 March 2023 polls. Gen Yahaya, who commended the troops for their overall performance in the provision of security during the last polls admonished them to shun all forms of inducement, enticement or cajoling that could compromise the security of the polls, adding that a secure and safe atmosphere must be provided for the citizenry to exercise their civic responsibility of chosing their leaders.  COAS FIRST QUARTER CONFERENCE 2023 HOLDS IN ABUJA. The Nigerian Army is set to hold the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) First Quarter Conference 2023. The Conference is expected to commence from 3rd and last till 6th April 2023 at the Army Command Officers' Mess 1, Asokoro, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Customarily, the COAS Conference will offer an avenue for reappraisal of the administrative affairs of the Nigerian Army as well as evaluation and comprehensive review of ongoing operational engagements of the NA in all theatres of operations across the country, within the first quarter of the year.  GOC 3 DIVISION COMMISSIONS NEWLY BUILT RSM HOUSE IN JOS, CHARGE TROOPS ON ADEQUATE MAINTENANCE OF ARMY FACILITIES. The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division Nigerian Army (NA) and Commander Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH), Major General Abdulsalami Bagudu Ibrahim has charged army personnel to develop maintenance culture and ensure adequate care of facilities placed under their care. He stated this on 24 March 2023, while commissioning a newly built three bedroom flat for the 43 Engineer Brigade Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM) in Maxwell Khobe Cantonment Jos. While appreciating the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya for his untiring efforts towards improving the welfare of troops, General Abdulsalami noted that the lack of maintenance of equipment and facilities coupled with nonchalant attitude of some personnel has been a serious setback in infrastructural development in the barracks. The Chief of Army Staff (COAS)  Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya has charged troops of the Nigerian Army to always put in their best and contribute to the success of the force in all its campaigns. General Faruk gave the charge during a one day seminar organised by the Army Headquarters Department of Transformation and Innovation held at the Headquarters 2 Division Nigerian Army, Ibadan.  The COAS represented by the Commander Infantry Corps, Major General Christopher Musa challenged the troops to always ask themselves if they have contributed meaningfully to the success and progress of the force, if not they should check themselves and did the needful.  COAS REITERATES COMMITMENT TO MEET SECURITY EXPECTATIONS OF NIGERIANS, KICK-STARTS THE FIRST SENIOR COMMAND AND LEADERSHIP SEMINAR IN 81 DIV AOR. The Chief of Army staff (COAS) Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya has reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigerian Army (NA) towards meeting the security expectations of all Nigerians by ensuring a safe and secure environment for socio economic development of the nation.  NASEME GETS NEW COMMANDANT AS GENERAL ADERETI ASSUMES DUTY.  The Nigerian Army School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (NASEME) Auchi has witnessed a new dawn as Major General Adeyinka Adereti took over the mantle of leadership as the  36th Commandant of the Institution today thursday 30 March 2023.  In his farewell speech, the outgone Commandant, Major General Edet congratulated the new Commandant on his appointment while wishing him a successful tour of duty. Major General Edet further applauded officers and men of the institution for the support and enthusiasm displayed during his tour of duty and urged for similar support and loyalty extended to the new commandant to ensure that the vision of the institution is sustained. In his remarks , the new  Commandant, Major General Adereti who was  a former Deputy Commandant of the Institution, lauded his predecessor for his foresight and achievements in the area of personnel management and infrastructural facelift amongst others.

 NEUTRALIZE VESTIGES OF TERRORISTS IN THE NE - Gen Irabor Charges Troops of OPHK, Pays Operational visit to the NE Theatre. The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General LEO Irabor on Thursday, 30th March, 2023 expressed his confidence in the combat readiness and operational posture of OPHK especially in the ongoing Counter Terrorism and Counter Insurgency Operations in the North East region of Nigeria. The CDS who was at the NE Theatre on an operational visit was visibly impressed by the steady successes recorded by own troops in the Theatre.
